Peter123 how do you know that it is working, is there anybody who send an email and got some movement in the case. I am concerned if this has any adverse effect. What if they think that the case has some problem that is why you are sending email. Also is it a good idea to give EAC numbers, Alien numbers, name etc etc in the email

It's important to send each one's claim to the DHS.
Here is my sample.

Anyway, you had better read http://uscis.gov/graphics/feedback1.htm at first.
Our normal Internet-based system to send short one-way messages to the BCIS related to "Respond to Federal Register (FR) Announcement", “Comment on Website", and "Make a Comment" is not working. If you would like to send a short message about one of these topics, please read this notice:

Due to privacy and other considerations, we will not respond to any case specific request for information on the Internet except for Case Status Online, for those cases filed at and adjudicated by a BCIS Service Center. Although unlikely, it is possible that information you send us could be accessed and read by other persons using the Internet outside the BCIS. You are strongly discouraged from sending personal information such as A-numbers or other information that you might not want others on the Internet to read. Please be aware that we will not respond to any case specific request for information sent over the Internet. The Privacy Act forbids BCIS (or any government agency or employee) to provide personal information about an individual without either (1) a written request or authorization from that individual, or (2) a request from an individual or agency authorized by the Privacy Act to see the information. Since BCIS cannot be certain of the identity of any individual requesting information via electronic mail, we will not provide such information. If you would still like to send the BCIS a message, please send it to: Immigration.Reply@dhs.gov

Please email to expedite the I-485 process

Dear All:
I have rad most of the participants opinions regarding the subject title. I would like to add my voice to you because i am suffering like most of the people of this forum. My receipt for I-485 is Aug-03, the local CIS office is processing I-485 with April-04 receipt date( overdue). I did my interview but i was told that they need to do various background and name checks(plural), though my wife( dependent) was cleared at the time of the interview according to the officer. It had been 4 months since my I-485 interview and nohting yet, still pending. CIS told me that they can not even inquiry about the case because it involves different agencies to do thsoe checks and they are not entitle to do so? I hope someone of you could confirm their claim if true or not? What if my application reached the desk of some gov employee and he/she lost somewhere how will the CIS know and when will they know? I guess they may never know. At any rate, i tried to contact my local congressman and they tried witht he CIS to get update but nothing change!!
My lawyer is suggesting that CIS should be sued, but honestly I am kind of hesitant to take such route!
I am willing to write to the mentioned address and add my humble voice. Do you have ageneric form or just write about my own case the delay that is going on. It is funny, that i have clearance from another government agency that does more thorough background check but yet the mighty CIS havetheir "own" background clearance???
Please let me know your input and suggestions. Thank for taking the time in reading this email, which i tried to make it short but there are so much inside me about the procedural effectiveness of the CIS et al.
Regards
Qans
