Immigration lawyers

Hope those who have used a lawyer can shed some light.

I would like to ask how immigration lawyers select their clients for H1B applications...do they only accept your case if they are almost SURE that you will be approved by the USCIS?

or do they just blindly take applicants even if they are not sure if they will qualify?

I am shopping around for a lawyer and am considering sheela murthy. i am a business graduate with an MBA and am considering an offer as an underwriter for a large mortgage loans company..but i am not sure it qualifies for an H1B...

would really appreciate any help

thanks!

Most lawyers will ask you to consult with them, and during this consultation, they will determine if they can get you the visa. Reputable lawyers won't take a case if they know they can't get it approved.

but unreputable lawyers will take your money, promise you the world and then tell you sorry... USCIS denied your application based on this and that... (fees are non-refundable)

be careful

best advise, go online and do your research yourself, if the job requires a bachelor's degree then it qualifies... if a high school graduate can apply for it and get hired, your MBA isn't worth anything to USCIS...

This is where the LCA comes in too...

thank you george and paulo, i was afraid that there would be lawyers who would just take your money even if they are unsure your case will pass...

I guess Rajiv and Sheela Murthy are the reputable ones? anyone here use them?

thanks
