Updated 10/03/01: Alert to People in Ohio

Some people have taken lightly our report on the need for carrying documents under the immigration laws. There is a report that the U.S. Attorney\'s office for the Southern District in Ohio has announced that it will enforce this law and prosecute the violators if people do not carry their immigration documents. Reportedly, AILA has been receiving reports from the member attorneys that foreign nationals without documents are being detained for minor violations and detain without bond or with very high bond.

People are reminded once again that they carry immigration documents in order not to face difficulties.

Question: For folks on H1-B or with EAD/AP, what do you carry always??

Thanks.

Details are at immigration-law.com

Few days back immigration-law.com posted what are the valid documents you can carry. For h1-b and h4, carry a copy of I-797 and I-94 and for EAD, always carry EAD card, I guess.
