Immigration Forms Expiry date question

After reading the instructions on each form it says that we need to check the version and date on the lower right hand corner of the forms on the website.
However, on the right upper corner of the form is an expiry date.
eg: I 765 expiry date on right upper corner is OMB No. 1615-0040; Expires 08/31/08

Lower right corner says Form I-765 (Rev. 05/27/08) N

If I fill the form today that is 08/18/2008, the expiry date above is 08/31/2008 so should I use this form now or wait after 31st and then download after that?
I am confused. I will send the forms in Sept end but am filling them now.
Please advise me. Thank you

I have a different opinion about this… but of course it is just my opinion.

If you look at the current I-765 form – USCIS states that they will accept the 5/27/08 form and No previous editions accepted.

It’s hard to tell what they will say when the new version comes out at the end the month, but I would be careful about sending in expired versions. If they come out with a new form and state that no previous editions will be accepted and you send in the 5/27/08 version in mid Sept, then they will reject it. If they state they will accept previous versions, then you’ll be fine. Just be careful.

As a rule of thumb – always send in the forms that are current as of the day you are sending them in and don’t assume that they will accept any previous version or assume that they will not unexpectedly change versions on you – always check the form version and always send in the most recent version.

Make sure that your Medical Exam is filled out on the most recent form too – the I-693 has changed a couple of times already this year.

I just got the medical done today and the doctor gave me the older forms. I just checked it. you are right!
I would have to get that rectified.

The I-693:
"06/05/08. Previous editions will be accepted only for medical exams conducted before August 1, 2008. Medical exams conducted on or after August 1, 2008, require use of the 06/05/08 edition "

Make sure you get it on the 06/05/08 edition since your exam was conducted after Aug 1st. Do everything you can with all the forms to help avoid any RFE's as any RFE would delay the whole process.
