Hi
My mother is a green card holder and she submitted I-130 for my brother. The I-130 got approved and visa number became available in several years. The embassy in my country sent a letter to my brother to come get the visa to immigrate to the US. The problem is my brother is mentally unstable and I don't think he can handle meeting anyone in the embassy. Does anyone know the procedure inside the embassy and weather my brother's mental condition can cause a problem for him to get the visa? and if there is anything we can do??
Thank you very much

No if your Brother is not mentally incapable to a level that that he is a threat to others or himself than he should be ok to immigrate, now you will need to have proper paperwork from his doctors and hospitals to support this with his actual diagnosis, they will let somebody to come with him to accommodate his disability, call the US embassy and let them know about his disability so they can make arrangements for somebody to come with him to the interview.
