immigrant visa valid for one year after endorsement

I have one questioned. I have activated my DV immigrant visa. According to one line printed in the visa, that this visa will serve as a green card for one year once it is endorsed. My question, does this mean I can enter the US based on this visa once endorsed even after the expiration date of the visa(which is 6 months) but within the one year since my entry to US?
since I have not received my green card yet.
 
Yeah you can use the stamp they put in your passport until it expires. It's meant to cover you while you wait for your green card to arrive.
