Immigrant visa expired

Hello everyone
My USA immigrant visa has expired.

I want to ask is the immigrant visa be renewed?
Also I want to ask how much time consulate needs to renew an immigrant visa nowadays.

You’ll need to contact your local consulate. Some are more willing to do this than others, and the time it takes is consulate-dependent. You’ll need to pay the fee again and do the medical again (which will have expired by now), and depending how long ago you got the visa may need to submit another DS260 application and/or get a new police certificate too. Best you confirm with the consulate before doing all that if they will reissue and what they need to do so.

(All this assuming the immigrant visa is not a DV visa as those will not be able to be reissued past fiscal year end).

I got initial response from consulate that they will reissue the visa in such cases and then they asked me the reason for not travelling.

I explained them the reason and after that no response from consulate since two weeks. Kindly advise what should I do.

I would politely follow up to enquire what they require from you.
