Immigrant Song - kashmir WAC-02-124 (I-485) approved on 5/7/2004
I was born in the land of ice and snow,
where the hot springs blow.
We came from a small island of Far East,
where the country used to prosper once in economy but will be gradually dying.
We came in the States to become U.S. Citizens and
to contribute to the World through America, the Land of Justice and Freedom,
so getting Green Cards was just the first step for us.
We have been fully committing to the United States.
We have no home to return in the counry we were born.
We have no relatives to rely on there.
However, U.S. Goverment has not had any respect to our commitment to America
just because we were foreigners.
We were just sad to know that fact and
we had no way but to fight for our rights against the goverment's injustice.
Also, as one of the original plaintiffs of I-485 Litigation against USCIS,
I am happy to fight through the end of our Litigation.
Actually, I have enjoyed this fight and I have learnt a lot.
I'd really appreciate Rajiv and his staffs giving us such a great chance to fight against U.S. Government and to meet great fellows supporting each other here at ImmigrationPortal.Com.
Also, my special thanks to my comrades such as Plaintiffs, Action Core Team Members, and Participants in activities of Project Ocean:
rk4gc, 140_takes_4ever, kash777, kadamtal, wac-02-068, kuldeepc, Edison, dsatish, tr22, rajum, long_wait2001, goodsaint, desi-bartender, srohit, solarise, Dadagiri, mango_pickle, becky, hussein, PCee, cinta, feb6361, niladri30, CS485, Who cares, karma_yoga, san_gcwait, theWorrior, ND022202, Silly Man, ... sorry but I cannot list all people and I'm afraid of missing someone important ...
Privately, thanks to my boss who told me that she really wanted me to succeed in my carrier because of my commitment to the U.S. and who has supported my fighting against USCIS, even though I don't think she will read this message.
And thanks to my family, my beautiful wife and talented children, who let me focus fighting for such a long time.
Meanwhile, I'd like to spend my time a little bit more for my family,
and to resume challenging one of unresolved problem of mathematics.
At last, I am really happy to be here with such great people,
and I hope all of you will get approved soon.
On we sweep with threshing oar,
Our only goal will be the western shore.
So now you'd better stop and rebuild your ruins,
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.
