Hello everyone,
Just reporting as promised. I came back yesterday and had no problem whatsoever going out or coming in. My parents and family were very happy to see me after seven years. I travelled with my renewed passport and GC.

Answers to your questions

I used my NP which I renewed after I received my GC.
I had only one ticket. When I say London, I mean I changed flights because there was no direct flight available. I didn't go outside the London airport.
