No...I am not asking about Illinois vs North Carolina basketball scores! LOL!!!

Does receiving interview letter means name check done? What is the relationships here? Appreciate your answers or comments or experiences.

I would say around 90% cases, YES

Even though it is supposed to be the case according the USCIS manual, but it all depends on individual DO workload and how they were scheduled. It is a hit and miss situation. The bright side of that is: in csae your NC still pending while you passed interview, you have better options to "push" USCIS to adjudicator your applicaton within resonable time fram due to 120 days rule.

Cool...because I've received my IL in exactly 3 months of applying and that was my saturday afternoon thought. Thanks for your response.

Why there is a 7 months gap between your IV and Oath; did you file 1447(b) to put pressure on USCIS or else. Please explain as my situation is very similar as yours...

My NC wasn't cleared when I had my interview. I could file the petition under 1447(b) after 120 days. At around 150 days passed my interview, my attoney did a letter to the Director of my DO and asked for status. We got a response back from DO and stated my NC was cleared and my case will be juadicated within a month. About 4 weeks later, I got the Oath letter.

Frankly, I was expecting the whole process even longer due to some historical circumstances. I was very pleased with the process and how prefessional of my local DO office.

How do you locate an attorney who has good contact at the local DO office? I am in Dallas, Texas. I am in a desperate job situation and we are stuck waiting on oath only. Just did 2nd FP but don't know status from here and do not want to have to wait another 4-6 weeks and then find that I should have put more pressure to maintain momentum.
