IIO refused to give case information

Hello Everybody.. This is second time today i called IIO since last week. I am told that they could not give me my case information as i have a lawyer representing my case. They told me that they had this security feature since a long time but it wasn\'t enforced but they are doing it now. Only my lawyer or Employer can call to get the status ..

Did anybody run in the same situation lately ????

My friend did but that was for I-140 not for 485.

This is not applied on I-485

I-140 or H1B are employer Petitions but I-485 is your application, Only you and your lawyer have the right to call

I also asked IIO if this was due to frequent calling on case. i usually call once in 14 days as i had seen discussions earlier posted on this site that calling once a week to find case status is OK. Her answer was that it\'s not limited to just one individual and it is a security policy that was in place long time is getting in to effect keeping present conditions in mind.
