I am with the gate family and victim of the name change issue.
Spoke to a very pleasant IIo this morning:

me: I would like to check the status of my case EAC-99-264-xxxxx
IIo : Could you verify your name please..
II: Your case is still pending
Me: Could you please explain why the delay?
IIo : Sure, looks like your company has changed its name and we have a different way of handling such cases
Me: What way?
IIo: Well, I see that your amended 140 has been filed and we are in the process of approving that. Once that is done we will take up your 485 application for final approval
Me; How long do you think all this is going to take?
IIo: I do not see it going beyond 3 months. Basically it is just the time requires to approve your 140.
Me: Are you sure you see that my 140 has been refiled?
IIO: let me recheck - Yes it has been refiled.
me: so to recap, You say I should have my approval by July?
IIO: Yes, before the end of July.
Me:Thank you
IIO : Thank you and have a nice day.

-Well, I feel kind of relieved having talked to her. Also,she says my 140 has been refiled but my Emp# was not listed in the Igate list. I don\'t know what to conclude. But one thing is clear - VSC is goign ahead and approving the 140 and then 485. So I don\'t think there is anything like waiting for regulations from INS HQ.

IF ONLY THEY HAD FILED ALL THE 140\'s 6 MONTHS BACK !!!!!!!!

IIo says my 140 is refiled but I have not got any information from the lawerys or the Igate home page. My number was not listed on the April 13th posting or the April 19th posting. So i do not have the details myself. Probably it was filed sometime after the April 19th(My guess)

A Question :

Do we have to wait for the I140(Redo) approval ?

If we get the notice from the INS we can send a copy to the INS and ask them to link I1485 with the new I140. I read a message to this effect on this forum.

my husband talked to iio yesterday,he said the iio told him when you get your eac # for amanedment 140. call vsc and give us your # we will put your fill again in active files.

Hi ,
Is there any seperate process to link AMD - I140 with 485 . My understanding is , it is all interlinked in the system . If not do we have to inform LD to enable linking . Any comments .

List on EOW is being updated may be once per week... my id was posted several days after amended was filed

How do we know the details of 140 redo? Did you get any EAC # for that? If so when did you get it? How much later was your number posted on EOW?

Is yours a simple company name change case? Did you get any RFE from INS to file the amended I-140.

if and when I will get my receipt for amended I-140 - I will post info were... as for EOW - I noticed my ID# there next week after papers were sent.

just a quick question :
for the I-485 stage og green card process, do we send them the original
date of birth certificate or copy of it :

Because I have sent original and my friends say its a copy ?
please let me know.
