STATISTICS ON APRIL\'S AMENDED I-140 FILINGS
During the month of April, 201 amended “successor-in-interest” EB3 I-140 petitions were filed. To date 8 have been approved. In 73 cases a receipt notice has been received. For the other 120 petitions we are awaiting the receipt notice. Ordinarily, we would have received receipt notices for the large majority of the April petitions by now. The delay may be explained by the INS resources devoted to the surge of Section 245 (i) - motivated filings generated by the April 30 deadline.
How is the amended I-140 petition “linked” to the pending I-485 applications? Our cover letter provides the EAC number of the pending I-485 application. In addition, the “A number” is provided in Part 3 of Form I-140.
