If AOS I-485 Appointment Is Missed...

If the first AOS interview is missed, what are the consequences? Can my spouse remain in the US or must she return to her country?

HELLO

my wife and i recieved a rejection letter for our i 485; the reason was " abandonment";


according to imigration,this means that we did not show for an interview


however , we never even recieved an appointment for an interview?

how can we correct this? what is our next move?
