You can continue working on H1B even if your wife uses EAD that she got from you as a primary applicant. EAD is only for working and not for reentry into USA.

Yes, if you have a valid H1B visa on your passport and a valid H1B approval notice.

But if your wife is using EAD, then she needs to use Advance Parole and not her H4 visa to re-enter USA. If you continued on H1B and never used EAD, then you can use your H1B to re-enter USA.

in his/her postings, jaxen has on more that one occasion pointed out that it is a misconception that a primary AOS applicant who has used EAD cannot go back to H1; a competent lawyer could swing that.

so is this applicable to the spouse as well?
