If get approved while in India

My friend with his family is traveling India in next week. He is expecting his I-485 approval while he is in India. Does he face any problems entering in to USA.

He has valid H1 visa, his spouse is using AP to re-enter.
 
I had the same question for my attorneys and they said that it shouldn't be a problem as you have a valid document (valid visa, AP) to enter the country. I believe, the folks at immigration are aware of such special case scenarios.

Ask your friend to enjoy his vacation and get a reply by email from his attorney in case he needs some peace of mind while on his vacation.
 
I got second fingerprinting notices while I was on vacation in India. Our dates were set during our vacation and there was no way we could go for our appointment.

My attorney sent a reschedule request for a day after my return. I got rescheduled finger print notices in mail and we got our fingerprinting done without any issues after we returned.
 
As long as Your friend has a valid Advance Parol...It should not be problem..But better to confirm once again with attorney.

As I know if you get FP2 while in India you will have enough time to do after scheduling time. I hope it is ~90 days. Local INS will accept to FP within certain time duration. No need of rescheduling, one of my friend did recently.
