if citizenship is denied will they revoke GC?

It completely depends on the reason for denial. If you applied before being eligible it doesn't have any consequences for your GC. However, if USCIS is denying because they find you committed a deportable offense or that you had abandoned your Green Card they might revoke the GC. However, I haven't seen a case like that yet.

Or they find out you did not get your GC properly. A Philipine couple
got their GC because their parents spponsored them as unmarried
children, then during n400 process USCIS found they were married
in Philipine before GC so USCIS placed them in removal.

What they hid is not just some maetrail fact but the very fact that
contradict the basis their GC was granted
