IEAD - Without Receipt Please help

My EAD is expiring 0n 10-Jun-2003. I have applied for my renewal on Feb. On May 17th I would have crossed 90 days.

1. I dont have the Original I-765 notice because INS has not sent it. But, I do hav e the copy of the Cheque that INS has cashed. Can I go for I-EAD by taking the copy of the cheque and other documents.
Has anyone got I-EAD without receipt notice in LA.

2. I leave in Long Beach can I go to Santa Ana office to get IEAD?

3. Is there any advantage in going to LA or Santa Ana office?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You have enough time. So I would suggest to send fax enquiry to INS office for EAD receipt. You don't need a lawyer to send it. You can fax it on your own.

In case if you still don't receive the receipt by the first of June then there is no harm in trying to get iEAD without it.

You can go to either LA or Santa Ana. Santa Ana has a short waiting time as compared to LA.

You can get an iEAD on your A# which you definitely must be having! Show up with a couple of forms of identification, and your A#. Should be enough. Offcourse take the check with you for their reference!
