iEAD or H4

Hi Gurus,
I am currently working on H1 and want to change to EAD, because of the new job. Currently I hold my 2nd EAD, but my wife haven't get her yet (ND:11/10/03).
1. Is there any problem of keeping her on H4, even I am not in H1?
2. Or can I apply for an iEAD for her, before I start using EAD?

Please suggest me.

----- if possible try to join new employer with H1 transfer that will be in your best intrest, if not possible then only use EAD

----- if you are NOt on H1 or YOU use EAD she will NOT be on H4, both will need AP approved in hand to go out of US in future and reenter

------- she can get iEAD if she wants to work, if she does not want to work no need ofiEAD wait for EAD from service center, it has nothing to your working with EAD, better file your AP and her AP if you are going to use EAD

My new company won't process H1's. So, I have only one option, which is EAD. As you are saying there is no need for iEAD, even I start working on EAD, so, I think I am okay now. Thanks for your valuable suggestion. Yes, I already have my AP (2nd), but my wife's haven't approved (ND:11/10/03). We filed both EAD and AP on same date.
