iEAD in san Jose

I am going for my iEAD tomorrow at San Jose as its >90 days now. I just wanted to know if i have all the docs in place.

1. Original 765 recpt
2. Copy of EAD (front and back)
3. Copy of 485 recpt
4. Copy of 140 recpt
5. New filled up 765 form (is this req ?)

have been told no money/photos are reqd from me. Is there anything else I need. I am going tom at 6 am in the morning

Pls let me know if this is what I have to carry..

Carry a letter bearing your address also. Yes, you need to fill in 765 form. If you dont have one, pick it up at INS office door.

Its simple. You can carry any letter addressed to you from any one. or else you may carry your latest Utility bills (just to show proof of address).
 
proof of address is not required in all local BCIS offices. bzymmm/kingno1 please be specific why you are putting that condition about a proof of address. Also rahul give your experience in this thread...
 
iEAD at San Jose

I went to the san jose bcis office for my wife's iEAD today.

1. entered the queue at 7.00. Got he iEAD at 12.30.
2. You just need the I-485 receipt & i765 receipt & completed 765 form & passport.copies of the above would save time.
3.Old EAD is taken away & new iEAD is given from current date. expiry date = current date + 8 months
4.went on the 91st day.
5. applied for my wife's renewal EAD on my own as lawyers were charging a lot.

Hi All
I am planning to get iEAD from Sanjose office as 90 days has already passed. I have a question,
I am working on H1B with my current employer (who filed for H1, 140,485) and will continue to work on H1B, even if I get EAD.
If I work on iEAD parttime (<20 hrs/week) somewhere else what is the impact on my full time H1B?

I would be glad if someone can throw some light into it.
I want to maintain my H1B status, since I am planning to get married and bring my spouse on H4.

As per my information the moment you use your iEAD/EAD you will loose your H1 status..

Pls do check the forum as it has a lot of info on this topic.
