iEAD after RFE anyone? <--- URGENT

I got an RFE ( signature card ) for my EAD application (RD 10/22, ND 11/16). The AVM says that my response was rcvd on 3/14 and since preliminary processing is complete it can take 90-120 days.

I got layed off (after 180 days) but I just got a job starting this coming monday. However, I don\'t have an EAD. Does anyone know if I can get an iEAD from SFO? Will there be any issues?

I plan to go tomorrow so any feedback would be appreciated.

Since there is a RFE they may not issue iEAD

Sorry to hear that
Well no harm in trying since you have job.

No harm trying

visit SFO INS or San Jose (which ever is close to you), take I-485 and I-765 receipt and other related documents with you. I think there is no reason why they won\'t give you EAD right away. If situation arrives, tell them that you are being offered a very good job (AC21 permits that) hence need EAD.

Got iEAD at SFO ( AVM says RFE rcvd...will take 90-120 days )

I went to the INS (444 Washington St.) at SFO on May 2. I was there at 5:30 am and there were 50 people ahead of me. When the office opened at 6:45 am, there were another 50-70 people behind me.

Parking is on clay street. The entrance to the parking lot on Washington is for monthly members only...you pay a hefty fine if you park there ! 4hr parking cost $14. There is a Starbucks nearby. Take a jacket and an umbrella and a newspaper.

There are 6 queue\'s once you get in. All EAD\'s will be in queue F. Though there were 50 people ahead of me, I was 6th on the EAD queue.

Got my turn in 30 min or so. I had a I765 form filled out and attached copies of 485, EAD receipts. (they won\'t give you a token if you haven\'t filled the form ) I told the guy that I wanted an iEAD since it has been more that 6 months since I applied for EAD. He said that he couldn\'t find my file on his system !!!!!! I said ABSOLUTELY nothing. He did something for a while and then asked me to pay $120 and go upstairs to get my card. I asked him if I had to pay the fee "again". He then checked my rcpt notice and said he had made a mistake. I got the card (valid for 3months) and was out of there by 8:30.
