ICE arrests and GC application

I got arrested and detained by ICE for overstaying a visa long time ago before I was granted asylum.

There is a question in the GC application which asks "Have you ever been arrested, detained, charged, or convicted......"

Do they also mean ICE arrests?
I do not have any criminal history. That ICE arrest was the only arrest and it was only for overstaying a visa

should I answer "yes" or "no". I am confused. I do not understand what they mean?

pls help

I would write YES to the arrest question. But explain it was an ICE arrest in regards to your overstaying a visa. They would know that in any case. But i'd say YES to that question to be on the safe side and not end up charged for lying on an immigration form/benefit, if they are looking for any reason to deport you, at least lying on the forms wont be one of em.

I read the instructions for the GC application and it says"

If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement for any reason and no charges were filed, submit an original official statement by the arresting agency or applicable court order confirming that no charges were filed

In my case, ICE arrested me for overstaying a visa. How will I get that original official statement from them? Will my grant of asylum good enough? or they still need that official statement from ICE? If I don't attach that official statement from ICE? Will my GC get denied?

Please BigJoe5, assylum, or fat_face, what should I do?

USCIS, CBP and ICE are the premier immigration agencies within DHS. Tell about it on the application and they will get the records (they are probably already in your file, will show up on the FBI Rap Sheet and the USCIS Officer can look up any further details in their computer database based on the Rap Sheet infornmation.)
