How long did it take the local ins to send them their letter ( approval ) after your interview? And which local office were you interviewed? Do we have any example of denial after the interview? Why don`t they approve it on the same day of approval?

Did you also go for interview at Local INS office in Detroit? How long did it took you to get interview letter after you rec'd the transfer notice.
I don't know about 485detroit, but iamok went for interview on 8th august, and had approval letter in hand on 13th august.

local ins- chicago....it took approxiametly 2 months. But they didn`t approve my case..or deny it..they said they will their decision..i don`t know..waiting game never ends...any idea what is going on?
 
Hi , I replied to your post .

You are fine !!. You will receive the approval letter by next week.I think it's normal now a days. You will receive a letter saying that, you will receive the Plastic Card from your service center . Please take that notice for stamping. They will stamp I-551 .

Then wait for the Physical card.

So please don't worry .
