I94 Qestion

Guys,
My friend has got his 551 stamped yesterday( GC in PA)
During the procedure the IIO found an old I94 pinned to the old passport; this was for the year 1990 and was in his old passport.
obvioulsy the Airline staff had not removed it during his return.
The IIO removed it and has attached it to the New I94.
Anyway, his passport was stamped.
He is worried now eventhough he has not over stayed during his visits in B1 Visa.
Has anyone had such an expereince? What do you think the INS would do?

Since the matter is rather old (1990), and assuming your friend has a clean record otherwise, I don't think that should cause any problems.

Yestersday, I went to stamp.....
I did same thing, I gave all my I-94 forms. I don't care , if airlines didn't take. I kept all I-94 forms to my passports. they took it.
They gave me stamping.
But i have visa for all times. I don't have to bother.
I think, it is better to give all forms.

INS took all my I-94s. H1B, and old EAD card, they said I do not need those docus any more. Once you are stamped, you do not need I-94 any more.
