I94 Issue Please Help

Folks,

My cousin just came in the country 2 days ago.
He has his H1 till 2007. But his passport is expiring in nov 05. At immigration Officer only gave him the I94 till Nov(the time his passport expires). He will renew his Passport soon.

But what happens after nov about his status ?

Can he get another I 94 without leaving the US ? if not.. how does he go about getting the valid I94 -- thanks

I think your cousin can renew his passport from Indian Embassy in US, Just check with them.

Once he gets renewed the passport send a Notarized copy of renewed passport to INS Office. They will issue you the New I-94 till your H-1b Validity.

PP expires in 2008; H1b comes up for extension in 2006 and can be extended from 2006-2009. In that case, is it a good idea to apply for PP extension before applying for extension?

What are the validity dates on I797 approval notice for his case? Does the validity show as till 2007?
