I94 fter receiving GC

I had my interview and received my GC but the IO didn't ask for my I94. Is it necessary for me surrender it. we am planning to travel for the holidays.

Would love to get a response to this since I am in a similar situation, would an InfoPass to return the I-94 be a viable option?
 
The I-94 becomes irrelevant when you get a green card. Do whatever you want with it -- keep it as a souvenir, shred it, surrender it at the border when you leave the US again, or fold it into a little paper airplane.

Wouldn't it cause issues while travelling since the USCIS would have never recieved it?

No. They are not expecting to receive I-94 from green card holders. But if it makes you feel more comfortable, you are free to hand it in when you leave the US. Like I said, do whatever you want with it.
 
I know some friends of my mine who have had the similar situation - USCIS did not ask for the I-94. It is of no importance once you are issued an Green Card. As suggested by the previous user, you can do anything you like with it.
