On my passport I have my I94 stamped (valid till Feb 01, 2002) with the old company. My new company H1B visa has I94 which is valid till 06/15/2003. Do I have to send my new I94 to get it stamped? Is it required or Optional as I won\'t be leaving the country till July 2002. BTW. I just got laid off this week and hoping I get new job within next 3 months i.e. by March, 2002. If I have to get my I94 stamped, is it absolutely mandatory to get current employer\'s letter?
