We got an I485 approval emails on 05/15/2006 followed by card ordered emails on 05/17/2006 for both myself and spouse.

Spouse got approval letter on 05/18/2006 followd by card on 05/20/2006. But for myself (primary applicant), we have not received any of the two things.

Any idea what could be the possible reason, so that I could follow up accordingly?

Thanks

No logical reson.

wait for few days & you will receive the approval / card. Your attorney will also receive copy of approval.

they will not entertain a followup till 30 days.

Same boat

Same thing happened to me too. Got emails on 5/10/06. Spouse got the letter on 5/12 and the card on 5/14. I have not gotten anything. However, my attorney got approval letter for both. So, planning to do infopass and get passport stamped. Would there be any issues with this approach?

Why Stamping ? Are you planning overseas travel soon ? you should get green carrs soon

No. I thought that way I can talk to an immigration officer and see if for some reason my mails have been returned and/or check the mailing address etc...

You can call & ask customer service if mails have been returned or address needs to be changed or not

I agree I guess calling customer service should probably be the first action to find out more. But I guess we need to wait for 30 days to get over?

NewToForm:
Did you had any address change recently? I had address change, but in March End and got letters from USCIS about address change confirmation as well. The erason I am asking you this to see if a address change could be one of the probable reason ?

Yes I did change the address both by AR-11 and calling the custormer service. we got letters confirming the address change on file. however, only my spouse got the approval/card. not me...

i called the customer service and all they could say is wait for 30 days. my place is about 3 miles from laguna niguel. it should not take such a long time to receive the card when they say the card has been mailed on may 12th.

Did they confirmed the address on file with you over the phone ?

No. They say they have no way to access my file and confirm my address. all they say is that if i got the confirmation letter for address change then thats whats on the file!!

Then what they are going to do after 30 days when we call them ?

Similar situation for my wifes 485 approval

We faced a similar situation for my wifes green card. The card was mailed, but we never received it. A month after the approval msg, we got another msg saying "Post Office could not deliver to address(we did not have any address change). Call customer service to confirm/update address". So, my lawyer called the num. and requested them to re-send to the same address. Finally, we got the GC once they re-send.

sfbayguy78,

Did your wife got Approval notice but not the card -or- she did not get any of these before this message change ?

Thanks

Update on my case:

Just now I see a online status message change to following
"On May 24, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

Please note that on 05/15/ and 05/17, I got emails about 485 approval and card mailed earlier.

Any idea what could this mean ?

Add me to the list

Same here, my (primary) and my spouses case were approved on may 10, cards mailed on may 12, but only spouse gets the notice and card. I got nothing so far. Lawyer got both notices. Lawyer told me to wait for 30 days and then he would open enquiry with USCIS.

Today the online message reads

On May 24, 2006, the card or document we had mailed to the applicant was returned by the post office because they could not deliver it. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I called yesterday and made a note of new address. Hope they re-deliver the mails....funny thing is i did get a letter from INS confirming my new address on my 485 application (like a month ago)...

I guess thats a good news in the sense at least you know what happened to yoru case. and you can call them and get it fixed. Let us know what happened when you call them.

NewToTheForum:

I also got "the card could not deliver" message online today morning on 05/25.

If you remember, can you please let me know what options did you select to talk to customer service rep. and what did they ask for ?

Thanks

i think i chose 1 first (application approved) and then followed instructions that essentially say something like if u became perm. resident recently and have some problems etc.....
