I765 - filing fee - FP ?

Hi ,
We are getting ready to file the I-130/485/765/131 package for spouse for a USC. The I-485 filing fees of $395 includes a $70 FP fee. The I-765 fee is $180.
From reading a few posts on the forum , I understand that there is a FP for the I-765 aswell. Does the $180 include this or is there a seperate fee ?
Gurus, if anyone knows, Why do you need to be FPed twice ? or is my understanding incorrect ?

No, you just need to send the $180. YEs, you will have to do FP for both I-765 and I-485, but you only pay seperate $70 in the I-485 fee of $325 + $70. If you have to pay another $70, then one should assume that in the I-765 fee, $70 out of $180 is for this biometric fee. Technically, i-765 should cost about $110 + $70= $180.

So, in short, send then what the form ask in terms of the $180, and not additional $70 with the I-765

When you apply for the I485 and I765 together, you get 1 notice that has both of them, and when they are doing the FP they do both hands, each finger, and the whole hand together. In other words they do the 485 finger print procedures in addition to I765 fingerprint in the same day. Thats why you pay the extra $70 for the I485 ($325 +$70). As for the I765 it already has the FP fee included in the $180 that you pay. Yes you have to pay it in full even if you are applying for 485 too.

The I765 FP is different, it is only your right hand index finger.
