When they approve the Remove the 2 year condition document. if they update the website status, to let you know they approved. or they only mail the letter to let you know they approved.

They should update the website but they do not.

You will just get the new green card in the mail.

It could take 6 to 8 months.

So, for citizenship... You have to wait until you get 10 year GC?

Or Can you go ahead for citizenship application on 3rd anniversary of the conditional GC without waiting for 10 year GC first?

Thanks !

I believe you can but how can 3rd anniversary arrive before actual GC since the original GC has expired and the temp extension letter is for one year only so you should get something before that letter expires. If this is the case I would strongly recommend to schedule an infopass appointment and find out what is going on with your case.

Also as far as I know you can only apply after your 3rd anniversary and if you apply before that you have high chances of loosing the application fees and getting a denial letter indicating to reapply after the 3rd anniversary

Citizenship & I-751

Thanks Triple Citizen !

In that case how it'll work?

Can One get citizenship even if I-751 is pending?

And if yes, then what 'll happen to citizenship if I-751 gets denied eventually?
Just curious.

One can apply for citizenship, if elligible, even if an I-751 is pending.

If the I-751 is still pending when the N-400 applicant is at his/her interview, the officer will first adjudicate the I-751 there and then. In other words, an N-400 in the works forces the adjudication of a pending I-751.
