I730 Wait Time

Any one with a recent experiance on I730 for a relative outside os the USA? How long ittakes to get it approved.

Thanks In advance

It's been 18 months since my father applied for mine, I haven't received an approval.

But a lot of compatriots who filed for their families this year have already received their approvals. It's really bizarre.

Also, NSC hasn't made any updates on their online case statuses related to I730 for third month in a row.

I ended up emailing NSC Asylum office last week and I got a reply from them that was pretty short :
" Your case is now with an officer.

Thank you"

I believe a few of other group member's family members' cases have been in an officer's desks for quite some time now as well.

This wait is really frustrating and annoying indeed.

That's what I'm talking about.

I know 4 different compatriots.

The first one applied for his family's petition last summer, 2 weeks after my father filed for me and my brother and mom ( both live back home ). He got his family's petition approved earlier this summer, after 11 months.

The other 3 families applied for their families' this year ( 2008 ) and have desirably received final approval within a year.

I'm graduating next May and I have no clue whatsoever on what I should be doing. I really wanted to go back home during the winter break ( 7 weeks ) but forget the approval of RTD, I haven't even received my approval.

In 2-3 months time, I will have to apply for my OPT..

This entire immigration saga is crappy and very stressful indeed.

Thanks for the feed back

I just received a mail from my Senator and he said that he has been "promised" that a decision will be made within the next 30 days.

You might wanna try contacting your State Senator.

I was kinda sloppy earlier on and I should've perhaps acted as I was suggested by many members in here and contacted him sooner.

Oh well. I'm hoping that I will receive my approval soon.
