I485, which one is Non immigrant visa number??

on the visa there is a Control number: 14 digit number

and then there is a number in red which is 8 digits

which one to use??

in the bottom of the form, they are asking for "Alien Registration Number" but in top it is "File Number - A_____".

I am assuming both are A#, am i right??

b my spouse or parent applied for adjustment of status or was granted lawful permanent residencein an immigrant visa category that allows derivative status for spouses and children.


has anyone applied 485 recently along with a dependent spouse, which one did you choose for dependent??

i want to choose B, but i am just concerned that they may put spouse application in Family Based.
