Hi

I am new to this forum and started reading it now as my I140 has been approved a few days back.

While going through this forum, I find many people are getting different kind of RFEs. In general can some one summarize the kind of RFEs one can expect/get in the 485 stage ?

RoaringBull,
why don't you do it ?
search on the forum for RFE, filter on 485, analyse & list the results.

this could be your good deed for today

I think I have asked this question to be answered by some one who is very knowledged with the 485 process !!

I know I can research or serach in the forum, but for a very knowledgeable person this should not be a big task. Its not just compiling, its interpreting and writing in a language that every one including me (who is new to this process) can understand. A simlar compilation was done by some one in the I140 forum.

If you cant compile them, please do not discourage and please do not reply to this thread as this is not meant for you !

Wow, you are true to your name !

OK, not wanting to be on your wrong side I will list the most commen type of RFE's you may get.

1) Birth certificate / Affidavits for birth / Translation of BC for self and/or spouse.
2) Proof of valid status in US throughout. (I-94s and Non-immi. visa approvals). This is if there have been times when your status has been questionable. e.g. H1 / H4 approval applied late. This is best handled with a help of a competent attorney.
3) Marriage certificate / Translation of marriage certificate for spouse.
4) Employment verification letter. May also ask for recent pay stubs and W2.
5) Proof that husband and wife live together. Mostly for people who get married just before filing I-485 or who include their spouse in there I-485.
6) Proof that child is legitimate. For people who may be separated, and have included their dependent kid in their aplication.
7) Recent photos

Thats all I can think of for now. Lets see if someone can add to the list....
