I485 RFEd for name change got laid off

Hi,
I applied for I-485 in Aug 2000. But at that time, I did not apply for EAD.
I got RFEd for company name change and I have filed for I-140 amended ( redo) in Feb 2001.
Applied for EAD in March 23 ND April 11 2001. My H1 is going to expire in Aug 2001
I have I-94 valid till Feb 2004.
I do not have EAD. I will be completing 6 years in Nov 2001.
Do I have a chance for getting 1 year extension, if I find a job.
By some luck if I get EAD, can I keep the I485 process intact, even if I use
the EAD with some other employer.
Please let me know from experiences

Check the AVM, you might have already got the EAD approved, My ND was 04/16 and got approval. I have seen most of the 04/01 EAD\'s got approved. Ph# 949-831-8427.

If you can manage your company to keep you in payroll, there may not be any problem for your 485. as CSC-INS is processing backlog cases, it might get approved even with out RFE for name change....Good luck.

Why don\'t you go to local INS and get a interim EAD. They don\'t
check for anything other than your receipts, I think. Look at
ciba\'s experience postings on Interim EAD.

Hi Babu:
  Could you please tell me the time your company change name and the time of your original I-140 and I-485?

   I\'m worried because in my case, we file I-485 in Feb and ND is 03/2001, but the company may change name in July or August. Will I get RFE for name change or so? Do we have to file I-140 again if it happens?
