I485 Rfe

USCIS sent a case status email that they issued a I485 RFE for me and spouse last Thrusday 8/19. Who do they send the RFE to? The lawyer or me? I have the company lawyer working on the case.

Couple of weeks ago through case enquiry, USCIS told me that my background check was still not done. Ofcourse I am not being optimistic that RFE means background check done

How do you do a case enquiry? I am having a hard time getting any status even after infopass and several calls.

RFE goes to your lawyer. I got RFE at the end of Sept. My name check is till pending. So two things are not necessary linked together.

REF normally goes to lawyer.. But My case, I received the RFE. It's very hard to predict.. Do the followup with your lawer. If they don't recieve it, there is a chance you may get it.
