I485 receipts, how many ?

Hi guys,

is there a copy of a receipt for an applicant, or there is just one receipt that goes to an attoney ?

my attorney sent me a copy of Representative's Copy of my I-485 receipt, when I asked him if there was an original receipt for me he said NO... Is that true or he is cheating on me (it's a company provided attorney and they do not want to share all the info about the process for known reason...) ?

In our case only attorney got receipt for I-485.

Is your company paying for your 485 applications and immigration stuff?

If yes, there must be a reason why they cannot give you. They probably don't want you to leave company.

If not, you should find your immigration receipt number on your paid check to USCIS. (your paid check will show your immigration receipt number on the back of your paid check.)

If you need it badly, you can use FIOA (freedom of information Act) on the internet.
