I485 Rd:27-aug-01 Nd: 30-oct-01 Src-02-******

Hi There,
  The SRC Number assigned to me is : SRC-02-******. I am totally confused after seeing people who have their ND\'s in Sep and Oct have SRC-01. What does that 01 or 02 stand for. Do they hold any significance.
Please let me know.

Not to worry

The First month of the year for the INS is October. The year runs from Oct to Sept. So, a person who applies in Sep 01 gets SRC-01, but a person who applies in Oct gets SRC-02.

I had applied in Dec 2000 and mine was SRC-01. Hope this helps.

02 - INS fiscal year
