I485 RD 2/00 and case back to file maintenace room....

A few weeks ago I called and spoke with IIO and I was told my case was with
an officer and I will be notified in 2-4 weeks. Well, its been over 8
weeks now so I called back to inquire about my case and was told that my
case is in maintenace room now. What the hell is maintenace room, the IIO
said there is no action so far on my case. Any one out there can tell me
what this means? IIO didn\'t even understand why my case is return......

Usually when they are waiting for visa availability, they put the case on hold (i think that is what they meant by maintenance)

Howvever given that your PD is 3/97 your dates have been current even if you are EB3. You shd get your attorney to investigate the matter further asap.

jpol, thanks for your response. My category is Others. So, I don\'t
think its a visa issue. If it was then I will assume am almost
approved since if they are waiting for a visa its certain to be
approved. But, I shall wait and see the response.
By the way, the IIO took my phone number and said she will call me
back in a few days (wow is what said when she asked my number).
