I485 RD 12/19/00, ..I140 approved for CP, talked to an IIO today.........

After nearly 10 days of trying, finally I got thru and talked
to a lady IIO today.
I485 RD 12/19/00, ND 01/02/01 FP 04/00.

She said there are so many cases in December are being assigend to
officer now and it could take about one month two months.
-*** This is standard answer*****.
She said my case is still pending, meaning not yet assigned to any officer.
_*** Bad news but valid information helps where I am now.

I asked about I140 approved for CP and haivng filed I485.

She couldn\'t give authority answer. She only guessed that it could be
one officer may need the file from Consulate and someone may not
ask for it.
_*** So, there could be partial truth in this answer, because two
days back I talked with NVC, someone there said, only some Service Centers
request the file for Approving AOS for CP approved I140s and
some SCs don\'t ask for it.

SO, I just have to wait and see what it is.

Please call IIO and post your answers too.

Hoping for approval in next 2-3 months.
 
Mine is the same case as you

My I-140 was applied for AOS but approved for CP (do not know how).

While applying for I-485, i asked my attorney if this would be a problem, he said it will not.

My details are :
RD : 12/23/2000
ND : 01/05/2001
PD : Dec 1999
EB2, RIR

All nearly same as yours.

I called IIO, but he would not give any info. He just said that my case is pending and if i need more info, call my attorney.

I am worried.

Can you please tell me, if you had applied your I-140 for CP or for AOS?
