I485 question

Does anybody know how long it takes after REF? I filed my I485(EB2) on September 2000, and only received REF last month. When I checked the automated message system today, it said " Your mail for additional evidence has been received on xx, it is now taking 350-380 days for us to process this kind of case. However, since all the preliminary processes have been finished before we reqested further information, the remaining time for your case will take 380 days". Is that a mistake? Do I really have to wait for another 380 days? Anybody who has already gone through this, please help out. Thanks.

My RD is also Nov 2000

I got an RFE late Dec 2001, sent info first week Jan 2002, AVM updated 1/15/2002 with the same message. It is almost 9 weeks now & still waiting for the approval.

According to my lawyers, the total time is 540 days. So, if they ask for RFE and you send it back, the days add on from where you send them the info. Not a restart from one.

Is RFE send to the lawyer only or will I also get a copy?

Reason I am asking is my company changed lawyers.

You got check INS with the address in their database

They may send your RFE to your old layer. You won\'t get a copy.

I got the same message last night From AVM

I got the same kind of message last night, the only difference is "it will take 300 to 330 days to process this kind of application", Is this the standard format for received RFE notice?

Did you check the whole message?

It should say; it will take 300-330 days for us to precess this kind of case, however, since the preliminary process has been completed before we sent you the RFE, the remaining time for this case will be roughly xxx days (my is 330 days). Can you check this again, and post what they say? Thanks.
