I485 pending want to travel

Can anybody explain what happens if I-485 gets approved just prior to travelling outside country. Not enough time to get passport stamped and can't change tickets. I believe as soon as 485 gets approved your AP document is cancelled. So what happens? Do I just leave and get stamped when I return? Do I have to cancel my trip? Haven't been home in 5 years! I didn't really expect my 485 to be processed before summer but since my I-140(NIW) was processed super fast (less than two months) I'm not sure if my 485 will follow soon. I've been to FP/biometrics and status is: FP results received and processing has resumed LUD was 18th April.

Would appreciate some advice or if someone has had similar experience. This is only hypothetical but want to book tickets now and want to know what to expect.

---------- If you KNOW that I-485 is approved then better get passport stamp and travel. if you dont know that I-485 is approved or your are out of US with valid AP then you CAN enter with AP
