I485 pending, Moving to India

Hi,
I have my I485 pending and we have decided to Move to India at least for next couple of years. I have been in US for about 8 yrs (H1 mostly and then EAD).

Do I need to inform INS? What happens to ongoing I485? What are the avenues and ways to keep that going on..

What are the avenues and ways to keep that going on..
---------once you file the form I-824 then approved I-140 goes to NVC and NVC sends it to US consulate then Interview then immigrant visa (at the time of Consulate interview you will need job offer letter from US employer who filed I-140
