Hello folks,
I was wondering if anybody has done I485 medical from India. I am asking this on behalf of my sistser. She is currently in India and is planning to apply I485 as soon as she comes back in October. To save some time, she was thinking of getting the medical done in India.
Also please if somebody can give details on vaccinations etc to be done for I485 medical.

Thanks.

She should contact to local consulate to get a list for authorized medical doctors. However, out of country medical check is normally done for consular processing, where consulate knows and can varify local doctor's name. If she submits medical report from India for her I-485, I am not sure how USCIS is going to varify whether the doctor is authorized or not.
Therefore if she is applying for I-485, I would recommand her to get medical done in USA, unless USCIS has a clear defined procedure to check authenticity of out of country medical records (probably through consulate).

Unless the doctor is on USCIS' list, I doubt they will accept the medical. DOS may have their own list of doctors for CP, but that is different from what USCIS does for I-485s.

Unlikely. USCIS has list of doctor only within USA. I cannot think (but it's not impossible) about USCIS maintaining huge up-to-date database of doctors all over the world. Only method I can think of is that while checking medical report if USCIS can varify the doctor through the nearest consulate (if consulate have in their list).

I believe medical is 1-3 days story here,

USCIS would doubt if petition is filed here and medical is done outside USA.

They can ask ur sister to resubmit medical in RFE. that would cost her again. and cause delay the more time then she is trying to save.

if there is some issue except time she fear to get done medical here,

She may go on GC path through consular process, which many avoid in family cases but prefer in EB to speed-up their cases.

Good Luck

thank you very much for all those who replied. I too think that final signatures on medical form will have to be done by some approved doctor in US.
However, can anyone please guide me to the list of vaccinations required for I485?

For the immigration purpose generally you should have the reports of the following tests:
Tetanus Injection date when it was given last time.
HIV
MMP
Skin test for TB (T.B. Test / PPD)
Syphilis test
Varicella Titer, (if positive need not to take chicken pox vaccine
If negative, need to take the same).
However, your doctor will explain to you in details if they will need some more test(s). The above mentioned tests were very common for medical check-up.
Good Luck
