I485: job title different than labour

I'm filing my I485 and have a question about job title. My lawyer is recommending me to use the same job title as my labour certification. My job title was Senior Application Developer when my labour was filed, now it's Director of Application Services and the salary is much higher also. Since I can't use my current salary with my old job title, so my lawyer has recommended to use job title like this:

Senior Application Developer / Director of Application Services.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, where old and new job title were used together? What did you do?

Cheers, Ali

To avoid any red flag, use Sr. Appl. Developer as designation and job description. If progressed thru various position in the same organization then it could be argued upon successfully, otherwise "Dir. of Appl. Services" far beyond explanation and no-way matching.
It is very simple to explain in the organization where you working but very difficult and risky to explain USCIS.

My concern is if I use Senior Application Developer with my current salary, then it would be much higher than average salary of Senior Application Developer and that might create a problem.

A 25-30% higher than RIR salary is acceptable. The Higher Salary Structure is after-all is explainable based on time, location, hours of work etc.
It is purely my opinion, and I have seen in this forum that several individuals have overcome this issue successfully.
Just a quick insite, can't you show and work out reasonable salary increase and your's RIR job & description?

I would'nt have been concern with 20-30% diff, but its much higher and I don't want to raise any red flags. What I'm curious about is my laywer's suggestion to use both designations.
