my father (a P.R) filled for me (his daughter). my i130 got approved. We sent my 1485 and 1765. I did my biometrics. and request for evidence ( my medical exam) was given. Now my status says that its at the National benefits center. to wait at least 60 days for a reponse.

MY questions are:
1. Do i need an interview? i mean its not a marriage. i am 20 yrs old. and my father petition for me.
2. If i do need one? what do they ask? do they ask about school. or just criminal record ( i have none)
3. is there a chance i just get an approved letter w/o having to do an interview.

p.s- i'm really scared because i would have no idea what to say in the interview.

Did you guys do DNA testing? If you did, and it proved that you really are his biological daughter, you do not have much to worry about at all. All they may be trying to establish is that you are minor/no criminal record and other stuff. However if there was no DNA testing, read on:

1. They MAY do an interview. Its at USCIS discretion.
2. They will ask questions which will try to establish there is a relationship
3. Yes there is a chance.

i Dont think we did a dna test. but we gave birth certificate. when were we suppose to take dna, because i dont think they ever asked.

Which country are you from? Some developing countries are notorious for the ability to procure fake birth certificates on the market. If that is the case, USCIS may ask you for a DNA test.

Stop stressing so much. If your relationship is bona fide, I think you need to relax. Typically the question they ask will be ones you will have an answer to if you maintain a good relationship with your parent.
