GC in da mail!

Hey y'all!

I finally received my GC the other day. On the 1st of September, to be exact. I've been really busy this weekend, so I didn't even have the time to come here and brag. :D

Surprisingly, the USCIS didn't make any errors on my card, so I'm happy.

Once again, thanks everybody for your help and for being my companion for the past several months. It's been great to be a part of this forum. I've learned a lot about the process and saved myself a lot of grief and trouble, I'm sure. I hope that at least a few people have benefited from some of my answers and advice, although not nearly as substantial as given by some of the other members on here. ;)

I will be visiting from time to time, but I definitely have to cut down on my habits of checking this site, as well as the USCIS case status service, every five minutes or so. This process, combined with our house-hunting, has cost me a lot of time and energy. I really have to catch up on my work and several other things now. I'll be back, for sure, sometime around 90 days before July 17, 2009. ;) :D

Good luck to everybody still in the process!!! :)

Good.

Now enjoy the SSN hunt :p I am still waiting on mine.

Well, I already have my SSN. Have had it for 7 years, now. ;)

But, I will probably have to go to the SS office and get my status changed, so I can have a new card without the "work with INS authorization only" condition.

That happened to me. Was you officer an African American guy, in his mid-30s, by the name. Joe B.?

Anyways, I waited and waited after my interview (I was approved like you, but no stamp on passport or anything, no letter, nothing). I did not get any updates or LUDs for 10 days, so I made an infopass appointment and got my passport stamped.

yes the officer was african american guy but his name was officer G .so how did they stamped your passport when u have no letter of approval or anything.what did u tell them what happened exactly?
