In brief, I received biometrics notice for myself, but not for my wife. So what I want to know is if its possible that USCIS officer would agree to take her biometrics as well when I go for mine? Anyone with same kinda problem? My lawyer suggested that there are 50-50 chances that officer may take, anyone with first hand experience?
Cheers...

Got my notice, nothing for wife. Appointment is in a week. Called VSC today (selected option "filed several applications together, got separated"). An officer looked into their computer system and told me that our files are processed together and my wife may get her FP notice soon.
A couple of my friends had the same situation here, their notices came in the mail separately, but the appointment was scheduled the same date.
I do not think it's possible to come without a notification, but you may try your luck and come together, it will not hurt you in any way.
Hope our spouses will get their papers soon.
The best of luck!

We need some goodluck here!
Gpng_dl said:When you call 1-800 ## for National Center, you may select option 6 (to check on the status of application). Then you enter your receipt number and hear their recorded message. After that, you chose option 3 ("to proceed to the next step") and you have another menue. From this list of options, you chose option 3 (but I am not sure, I think it's 3), and it says like: "If you filed several applications together, but received letters or approvals only for some of them and you feel like your applications are separated". A recorded message like that. You select this option and you get connected with an officer in YOUR center (according to your receipt number). I spoke to a lady who was very polite and willing to help, so my experience was pretty good, and all my questions got answered.
GoEagles said:Gpng_dL: really it was very helpful. Called USCIS and been told that notice has not yet been issued to my wife because no appointments are available at the local office, so it will come eventually!
Also, got this info to schedule infopass appointment for my wife (which I did for the same day as I've biometrics!) to request them to take her biometrics before she goes outta country! Let's see if this works!
Another thing, our 485's are now in TSC custody!![]()

Would you please update this thread next week and share your experience with Infopass appointment for your wife?
Thank you in advance!

Today I learnt that my wife's fingerprinting notice was sent to our old address in VSC and was asked to appear in the past (Aug 26, 2005). The attorney has received a copy of that and she is gonna fedex today! Now, what options do we have:
1) Make a trip to VSC area (>1300 miles) and request them to take fingerprints,
2) Take this notice at our local office here, in TSC, and request them to do this, or
3) Ask CIS to issue a new notice?
Would appreciate quick replies!
Thanks a mil!
