Finally !!!!!!!! 3 years and 10 months and 5 days from PD.

EB3 India
PD :Jan 14 1998
I485 date :Sep 9 1999
FP1 date : Oct 26, 1999
FP2 date : Sep 5, 2001
3 EADs and 3 APs.
officer assigned on : Nov 2, 2001.
Approval date: Nov 19, 2001 (for all 3 members).
Approximate Wait for letter : 2 weeks.

Thanks to this bulletin board, it helped me know what others in my boat were doing, specially about FP2 situation.
 
Senators - yes

Hi,

I did contact them (e-mail) in late August. However I had (luckily) got my FP2 notice from local INS before contacting them. Senator Zell Miller\'s office in Atlanta was useful in getting me status every 30 days and pushing the matter faster and making INS pick up my file and getting it assigned to an officer.

On the whole, it was useful contacting them as they gave me hope that my case might get approved soon - and it did!!!

It looks like INS Texas is looking at cases I485 date between Aug 1999 and Jan 2000, specially FP2 cases.
