I485 Approved for me and my family.

Details and efforts:

Filed sept 2002.
After a long wait and effort received FP notice on Jan 2005.
- followed up with 800# regularly until it turned to 'temporary problem....'
- followed up with USCIS office continuously using infopass
- followed up with USCIS through my attorney continuously
- followed up with senator's office regularly.

Eventually, perseverance paid off.

IMHO, 800# is waste of time. In person visit to USCIS office could be of some help. But the system is a complete failure. They just throw in to trash your attorney's requests. Do contact your senators if you have pending applications. They are your only hope.

My very best wishes to all forum members who have pending applications. Thank you for sharing and helping to get through. This is indeed a valuable resource.

Poongunranar, dear friend, a special thanks to you for your insightful posts in the forum. I learnt a lot from your posts. Hope you get your approval soon.

I won't frequent as often as before, but will sure stop by once in a while.

Thanks ihack1.. I have my congressman on the case... when we called TSC, they said that the backgrd check results came back last week, and 3 diff people at TSC told us. So let's see...
 
ihack1, congradualations!! Questiones for you, your phone message changed to "duo to system error, blah blah..", what happened then after? I am having the same situation right now. After inquiry, I can't check status over the phone any more. What are the steps I should follow? Thanks a lot!!

In my opinion, senators can get answers better than congressman.

That message pretty much blocks you from calling TSC again. Your only option is through AILA/congressman/senator/direct letters (other than calling through other pending applications like EAD/AP). I tried through senator and attorney.

I Believe you are trying to connect TSC directly and having this issue than, dont worry, and Use any other receipt u have like EAD/140 anyone. when u go through status,

use option 3 and then 3/4 when it says 'You file multiple applicaion and got seperate" select that option , hope u would get connect with tSC direct :D

Received Green Card

Received Green Card today. My journey with TSC ends. Thanks again to all the folks who helped get through and best wishes to all.
