Hello all,

I am currently vacationing in India and my 485 got approved today (EB3 PD 6/2002 India). I have a valid advance parole document with me. What should I do at the port of entry while coming to US?? Should I show the Advance parole or hide it and tell the officer that my GC is approved and I do not have the card yet?? I do not have the GC card with me. Will it a big problem at the port of entry??

I am in a state of shock now as to what to do. Any experts please post your opinion.

First, Congratulations.

Second, You are fine with AP. That is the sole purpose of Advance Parole to "Parole" one inside.

Once you arrive, they would tell you that you are approved and stamp your passport rightaway in the secondary inspection room

Congratulations!!! You should be fine with an A.P. Could you please give your RD as well as when your last FP was done and whether you are a transfer case.
Thanks,

My GC was approved on May 10th 07 while I was in India. I was on H-1B visa and did not have AP. I was planning to come on 14th May but since GC is approved, I wanted to relax and have little more fun at home and came on 21st. One of my good friends sent my mail by UPS and I entered with GC. By the way, they did not do any stamping on passport or anything like that.

Not a transfer case

I am not a transfer case. Don't remember last FP date. May be around July/Aug last year. RD is 10/2004.

That's because you used the GC and not AP to enter the country.
